Post by GeminiCross on Wed Oct 13, 2010 12:07 am

Umbreon! The Graceful Shadow appears finally for his debue in Super Smash Bros Brawll

So we've decided that we will put umbreon over Ganondorf because of the darkness attributes. I hope to get this project up to a beta in a couple of weeks if I actually dedicate myself to working hard Laughing

Team Members.
Myself - Main Animations, PSA, Idealist
Snoopy - Huge Help, Possible animations, possible for PSA
Gamma Ridely - Idealist, Screenies, Videos
GALOT - Moveset Idealist

~~~TO DO LIST~~~
Fix running, walking, jumping glitches
Finalize the moveset
PSA work
Alternate costumes
CSP Portraits, Icons, Battle Portaits, Names etc;
Plan Recolors
Custom Sound Pack
Completed
In progress
Not yet started
Unsure if it'll even happen
AND TADA HERE IS THE MOVESET!
Size - 3/10 - Not very big, maybe slightly larger than Pikachu.
Weight - 5/10 - Actually kind of hardy for a speedy fellow.
Walk - 4/10
Run - 7/10 - Very fast, maybe somewhere around Marth speed?
Power - 2/10 - Not a heck of a lot of it.
Attack Speed - 6/10 - I'd compare him to Wolf.
Range - 2/10 - Bodily attacks, and he's small.
Priority - 3/10 - Oi.
Air Speed - 7/10 - Actually pretty fast in the air, but can control its momentum about as well as Snake can. (not very)
While most speedy characters have an emphasis on rushdown, Umbreon is a dark type and thus plays trickily. Several moves telegraph it over a large distance and may be precision strikes, requiring some spacing to be done.
Idle - Just sort of stands there.
Wait1 - Sits for a moment before picking itself up.
Wait2 - Shakes itself loose.
Wait3 - Its eye gleams.
Jab - Think Wolf Link's combo from Twilight Princess. All three hits link into each other and all three have a deep lunge to them. The first hit does 2%, the second also 2%, and the last does 3%. The final hit has minimal knockback, but enough not to leave it punished if it connects.
F-Tilt - Eevee's physical attack from the Pokemon Stadium games. It hops back a short distance before sommersaulting into the enemy. Does multiple hits of cutting-effect damage, each hit doing 1%. Travels slightly shorter distance than a battlefield platform and does damage for the entirety of the move. Only the last hit does any knockback.
U-Tilt - It dashes forward a small distance before turning and pouncing above its original position. Happens very fast. Does 3% and minimal upwards knockback but 5% if it sweetspots at the apex of its jump.
D-Tilt - A low to the ground bite attack that pops the enemy into the air. Does 3%
F-Smash - A flying pouncing attack that covers a large amount of ground. It actually lifts Umbreon off of the ground, meaning it can fly straight over and beat out attacks like certain d-tilts. Charging it causes Umbreon to walk backwards before doing the attack. Does 11% uncharged and 15% fully charged. Large knockback with killing potential, but has some end lag unless it goes flying off of a ledge.
D-Smash - Umbreon vanishes from where it was standing, immediately appearing above where it was standing and doing a sommersaulting tackle into the enemy, at a downward angle. This hit is actually a spike. Does 7% uncharged and 10% fully charged.
U-Smash - It backs up slightly and jumps into a powerful bite above where it was standing. Fairly slow with a small hitbox, but does large knockback. 10% uncharged and
Dash Attack - It does a quick bite, before jumping backwards a short distance. Does 6% with no real noticable knockback.
N-Air - It turns around and does a bucking kick, doing 5% with little knockback. Can link into itself several times at lower percents, and sometimes even its F-Air.
F-Air - It flips forward and spikes the foe with its tail, doing 7%. Not a very strong spike, but can put the foe below the stage at moderate percents.
B-Air - It flips onto its back and does a bite. Somewhat slow and deals 9%.
U-Air - It sommersaults higher into the air and does multiple hits similar to Pikachu's b-air. Lasts a very long time. Each hit does 3%.
D-Air - It lunges towards the ground at a steep angle. If it hits an opponent, it bounces off of it and does a weak spike. Does 8%.
Grab - It flashes, freezing the foe in place. Disjointed, but not very big range.
Pummel - It bites the foe, doing 4%. Moderate speed.
F-Throw - It rams the foe, knocking them away. Does 9% with little knockback.
B-Throw - It appears behind the foe and does basically the same thing as its F-Throw. The knockback sends the foe at a higher angle and farther, however. 10%.
U-Throw - It does a Weavile-like dash through the foe, sending them straight up into the air a good distance. 7%.
D-Throw - Jumps on the foe and bites it, doing 12% and flooring it similar to Snake's d-throw.
N-Special - Sand Attack - It turns and kicks a small cloud of dust at the foe, tripping them and producing a slight windbox. Quick, but doesn't do any damage and the range isn't very long. Good for starting up tech chasing if it lands.
F-Special - Pursuit - Oh this is a fun one. After a brief moment, Umbreon dashes about half of the distance of Battlefield, close to instantly. He then pauses for a brief moment, where pressing B will make him dash forward again, and pressing A will make him dash backward. During the second dash, if he should press the attack button at any point, he'll do a flying leap right into the foe. Should be hit at the apex of this, he'll do a whopping 36% and send the foe flying. Hitting at any other point of the jump will do a still praiseworthy 16%, and the dashes themselves do only 2% with no knockback. Has massive ending lag if the jumping strike isn't used.
U-Special - Faint Attack - Similar to its D-Smash, it vanishes, except this time it does a charging tackle from behind where it was standing that covers a long distance. In the air, instead, it does an attack similar to its U-Air, except sending it higher and being a single hit attack. Both attacks do 10% with fairly high knockback.
D-Special - Mean Look - It stands still for a brief moment, before glowing for a brief moment. If it manages to be near someone when it does flash, the foe will be stunned. Umbreon with then dash through the foe, flooring them and doing 15%. Has super armor before the flash, but not as soon as the command is input.
Final Smash - Penumbra - Umbreon does a short hop forwards. If it catches anyone, Umbreon will stun the foe, vanish, then dash at and gnaw at them from several different angles. It finishes by dropping on top of the foe in a pounce which sends them flying, but not enough to KO unless the foe's around 20% or so when the attack starts up. Does 40% in all.
Taunts:
Up - It sits and lifts its head up, looking into the sky.
Side - It paws at the ground in front of it, and flicks its ear.
Down - It lowers down to the ground, ready to pounce.
Results Screen:
Victory 1 - It sits absolutely still, looking straight into the camera. Its eyes gleam.
Victory 2 - It dashes from one side of the screen to the other before dropping from the top.
Victory 3 - It lays down, eyeing the screen.
Lose - It sits facing away from the camera, with its head over its shoulder.
VIDS!!
Nice, as always. Smile
I think this is doable, though I will DEFINITELY need help with Pursuit, PSA-wise...
... but it'll be pretty epic if it pans out.
As for the waiting animations however, I thought that maybe it would have just one waiting animation: Umbreon sitting there patiently, with it's tail flitting about.
It is a dark-type, so I was hoping to include a little mystery with it too.
But yeah, nice job!
